Does this sound like me? You Betcha!

Your Power Color Is Gold

You're dependable and hard working. You never miss a deadline - and you're never late.
You have a clear sense of right and wrong. You're very detail oriented.
You get frustrated when your friends are sloppy - or when they don't follow through.
You're on top of things, and you wish that everyone else was!

Believe in Magic

I had a play with some alcohol inks the other day using acetate. Here is what I created. Am going to send it to a lady on one of my online groups for her birthday. Hope she likes it!

Oh no...not Christmas again!

I have started in earnest my Christmas cards for this year and have whipped up about 20 in the past week. Here are some pics of them. They are all very similar just different colour combos and bellies.

Disappointment

Well nearly 3 months on from my 40th birthday and a lot of negativity I am starting to see the forest for the trees - I think! I haven't been creating, I haven't been blogging and I haven't been attending my normal craft and stamping groups. You want to know why? Well I'm certainly not one to hold back (probably one of the reasons I haven't made alot of close friends in this neck of the woods) so here it is. At the beginning of this year I said to myself - I'm turning 40, wouldn't it be nice to get a heap of birthday raks. So I set about from February onwards sending out a birthday rak to nearly everyone that came up on my radar from my main online stamping group. I reckon I sent about 30 raks out (yes I did keep records). Well anyway, in short when my birthday came along I received exactly 2 cards! I was absolutely shattered.

Getting creative again

It's school holidays and I have had a little time to do some craft (probably should be doing the housework!) Here are some of things I have done in the last week - an Industria ATC and a card using sticky labels and a stamp that I bought on EBAY ages ago and have never used.

Oops, forgot some pics

Swap Nearly Finished

This swap is nearly at a close - it seems to have gone on forever.

Here are some pics of the pages that I made. Thanks to all the ladies who participated: Ann Lawton, Joyce Hewton, Kelly Francis, Meredith Lane, Nikki Blowers, Pam Collins and Peta Jakes.

Your work was fantastic and hope that you enjoy your booklets!

Butterfly Angel

I have been having a creative frenzy of late and made this card using a few of the new products I have bought recently. The copper shim butterflies have alcohol inks on them to add a bit of colour. I have used some twinkling H2O's on the angel and column and behind the acetate with the sheet music. The wings behind the girl are german scrap. It was such fun playing with my new craft items. I am currently working on some pages for a Favourite Image Booklet swap that I am hosting. Will upload a few of the pages I have been working on soon. Am off to Fiji next week for my 40th Birthday - can't wait!

Ciao,

Sharon

Me and my boy

Page 5

This page was stamped onto scrapbooking paper and the faces punched out with a circle punch. I then found some old photos of my family and punched their faces to fit into the spaces. I applied metallic rubons to give more colour around the image.

Page 4

I stamped this image onto patterned vellum and overlayed it on another image stamped on pink shimmer paper. I've used serendipity squares I made last week with some organzer ribbon over the top and rub-ons and pink buttons to finish off.

Page 3

I stamped this image on a transparency using purple stazon. It didn't come out very clear so I layered it over some silk handmade paper and attached with eyelets to give a watery washed out look. I then attached some wire and beads at the bottom.

Page 2

I stamped the image using purple stazon onto white gloss card. I then applied alcohol inks around the edges and stippled the inner part with matching adirondack inkpads. I punched a small hole in the hats and put a few fibres through them. I covered the back of the front cover that you can see on the left with some purple and pink marbled paper.

Example for a swap I'm hosting

The image I have used is a Teesha Moore zettiology stamp that I recently purchased. This is the cover. I created an alcohol ink background (my new toy) with Nature's Walk and stamped with black memories ink pad. The background is done with perfect medium inkpad and dry brushed with Perfect Pearls using Curlicue background stamp.
